Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts

A revitalized the Russian player won his maiden title for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.

The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult period, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the American major.

His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.

Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.

It is the player's first trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court from that period of 2023.

The win also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.

"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This title is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."

The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.

His retrieving play style and recurring emotional displays on court had led observers to question if his skill to play at the top level was finished.

Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and play positively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.

The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the final five games to go ahead.

The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to create a third set.

The opponent saved 4 early break points in a close final set before the champion won the break to fifteen to secure the win.

Appropriately, the winner secured the win with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
